 Introduction:

what is the meaning of Tauheed?
Tauheed is based from the root word Wah-hada. Wahhada means to ascribe unity to something. Tauheed is the act of ascribing unity to something.  ( this is the linguistic definition).
When it comes to islamic sciences Tauheed refers to the unification of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala), when it comes to Ruboobiyah, Uloohiyah and Asma wassiffat. To make Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) in these 3 aspects.

Tauheed ar-Ruboobiyah= its based on Qur'aan and sunnah, meaning Allah(subhana wata'ala) is one. It means that Allah(subhana wata'ala) is the only one who sustains, controls and created all the mankind and the worlds. In other words the fact that we have only creator, one sustainer, one who is control of all our affairs is Tauheed ar-Ruboobiyah.  Rabb comes from this root word

Tauheed al-Uloohiyah =  Tauheed of worship. This the natural follow up of Taueed ar-Ruboobiyah. Once we have acknowledge that Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) is our creator, in other words we have acknowleged Tauheed ar-Ruboobiyah, we understand that we have to worship that creator.

Tauheed al-Asma wa siffat ( names and attributes) = Natural followup of uloohiyah.
Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) have perfect attributes which belongs only to Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). We say that every negative attribute does not belong to Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). Example Allah (subhana wata'ala) is Ar Rahmaan.

Most of mankind they accept Tauheed ar-Ruboobiyah. If we go to a christian , and ask them who created you they will say they " GOD THE FATHER". Even hindus , jews they agree that there is one Main GOD.  Only a few group deny the Tauheed-ar-Ruboobiyah.  This tauheed is engraved in very nature of Man. Atheism hasalways been a minority. which is the opposite of this type of Tauheed. One religion who actually belived that there were 2 GODs. The Zoarostrians, ( fire worshipers) who believe that there is a GOD Of good and GOD of bad. They Go against Tauheed ar-Ruboobiyah.
Tauheed al-Uloohiyaah is where the majority of mankind went astray. If you ask the Chirstians who created you they will say GOD the Father but if you ask them who do you ask from they will say Jesus. This is where the most mankind goes wrong. They worship other than Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) which automatically makes them in error or Tauheed- al Asma wa siffat. Meaning that they give attributes which belong only to Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) into which ever they worship. which is SHIRK( Associating partners).

Chapter 01      At-Tauhid (The Oneness of Allah)

Allah ( subhana wa ta'ala) says :
" And I ( Allah) created not the Jinns and men except they should worhship Me (Alone)"
                                                                                        ( 51:56)

This verse the most Explicit verse in the Qur'aan in the purpose of Creation. Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has denied , negated every reason except one, that is worship Allah(subhana wata'ala). This is why Allah created Adam and eve, jannah and naar and everything that exists. The very purpose of creation is Tauheed. And Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) goes on in the next verse, "and I do not want any sustanence nor do I  not want them to feed me rather its me who feeds them.".
A non muslim might think that since Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) wants us to worship him that means Allah is in need of us. So in order to shatter this presumption , Allah says that I give everything to You , I don't need anything from you.

What is the meaning of Worhip?
The linguistic meaning, of Ibadah , is to Humble your selves to another object. That is why , in Arabic a Slave is called 'abd. As he submits or humbles himselves in front of his master. In other words, we Worship Allah(subhana wata'ala) by obeying every command and forbidding everything that has been forbidden. This is the Essence of Islam.

What is the Meaning of Islam?
To submit yourselves to Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) completely in its entire sence.
A muslim is one who has submitted to Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). linguistically islam does not means peace, it means Submission.
Jinns and Mankind have been given intellect and free will. Even the Angles have not been given the free will to disobey Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) even though they are more Holy than man. Only Mankind and Jinn have been given this free will to obey or disobey Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). Even though Allah(subhana wa taala) created all that exists, Allah mentioned only these two creations in this verse as they are given a type of Freewill. Anyother creation cannot possibly disobey Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).

A Jinn is created from Smoke less fire, and were created before man was created and we know this by the fact that Adam ( Alay salam ) was created after shaitan, Shaitan existed before Adam (alaysalam) and Shaitan was of the Jinn, and that is how out of arrogance he disobeyed Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). Jinns have certain powers that we dont have and the powers that we have they don't ( few that is).  Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) has given more intellect for Mankind, than the Jinn, and Allah has preffered mankind More and we know this as Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) asked the Angels and the Jinn to prostrate before Adam ( Alaysalam).

***When ever you find the two letters Jeem and Nun together, there is an aspect of hiddeness in it. Jinn they are hidden, Jannah, its hidden ( Jeem and Nun together).
The embryo in the mother;s womb is called Jeneen, and its hidden.

" And verily, we have send among evey Ummah ( community, nation) a Messenger(proclaming): ' Worship Allah(Alone), and avoid ( or keep away from) Taghut( all false deities etc, ie do not worship taghut besides Allah).' " ( 16:36).

Walakad ( is a form of emphasis) its a oath, when ever Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) gives an Oath, or when ever Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) emphasis something, it means that the following words are of very very great importance. Allah does not need emphasis on anything, every thing that Allah mentions is true, its human who need emphasis, so when ever Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) swears by something example Wal 'Asr, the following words will be of great importance.

Allah says wa la kad, ( wau , lam and kad) 3 emphasis are given in the beginning of this verse. So this verse of great importance. The Point of this verse is that every Prophet that came , had the same message, that is to worship Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) and avoid Taghut.

Taghut : the root word of Taghut implies over stepping the bounds, going outside the boundary. Example if some one goes outside a boundry , ( a fence or soemthing similar) in Arabic we can say Tagha ( which means he went outside the boundary).
So TAGHUT is everything, every concept , every object that takes you outside the boundary of  worshiping Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).Taghut-Idol , leaders(if they lead u away from the worship of Allah), Sorceres and magicians, Could be a living person, Taghut can be a concept example , communism , democracy as we know in west as they lead you astray, and take you away from the worship of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).

The goal of sending the messengers with one message, is to emphasis the worship of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala). This verse proves to us that every Prophet came with one message La ilaha il Allah. In surah Nahl  verse 36 , this verse is repeated.

" And your lord has decreed that you worship none but him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say : ' My lord! Bestow on them your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.' " ( 17:23,24)

These verses , are very comprehensive verses series of commands and prohibitions. Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) tells that you will worship none but him and the rest of the verses basically the concept of Islam. This verse starts with Tauheed.

The way our shahadah is constructed La ilaha il Allah, Nagation and affirmation.
What is affirmation and Negation?
For example ,Muhhamad is standing, it is affirming the fact that other people are standing? in other words , if Muhhamad is stannding that does not mean that other people are not standing. Nagation of this is Muhhamad is not standing.

If  we say Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) is God , we are not mentionning that only Allah is God , there might be another ( Naudhubillah).
The point is Only by Affirmation and negation we can get one specific point through.
If we were to say  NO ONE IS STANDING EXCEPT MUHHAMAD we are saying that only and only Muhhamad is standing.so here we have Negated the Fact that everyone is standing and affirmed the fact that Muhhamad is standing. So if we say La ilaha il Allah ( no one is God except Allah(subhana wa ta'laa) we  have negated the fact that there is any other GOD. there is no possiblity of Any other GOD, BUT ALLAH. Affirmed the Fact that only Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) is GOD. If we say that Allah is Rabb, anyother person could say  by this statement that Jesus, is God or Ram is God, or if we say the opposite that Jesus is not God, then the other can say that these things are not God but there are others who are God. ONLY BY Affirmation and Negation we can get the full picture, so its There is no illah, No GOD but Allah(Subhana wa ta'ala).

" Worship Allah and join none with Him in worship." ( 4:36)

Similarly Allah affirms and negates in this verse. When ever Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) talks about Tauheed its combined with Affirmation with Negation.

" Say ( O Muhammad sallahu Alayhi wasalam): come I will recite what your lord has prohibited you from: join not anything in worship with him: be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty-We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to shameful sins whether committed openly or secretly, and kill not anyone whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause( according to islamic lay). This he has comanded you that you may understand. And come not near to the orphan's property, except to improve it, until he( or she) attains the age of full strength; and give full meaure and full weight with justice. we burden not any person , by that which he can bear. And when ever you give yuor word( i.e judge between men or give evidence, etc ) say the truth even if a near relative is concerned, and fulful the covenant of Allah. This he commands you , that you may remember. And verily , this is my straight Path. So follow it and follow not ( other) paths, for they will separate you away from his Path. This he has ordained for you that you may become Al-Muttaqun) the pious) ."
                  (6:151-153)

Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) follows a series of Commands and once again starts with Tauheed, and when ever Allah(swt) says Qul , Allah(swt) is commanding Muhhamad( sallahu Alayhi wasalam) to tell people.
Its out of the mercy of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) he prohibitted for us few things, which we can list and all the others out of defacto we can do.
In this verse Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) asks Muhammad( sallahu Alayhi wasalam ) to tell the people what is prohibitted and Allah(s.w.t) starts of with: we dont worship anything but Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) that is we worship only Allah ( Alone). every time Allah starts a series of commands Allah starts with tauheed.
and Allah continues, with other command and ends by saying that this is the path of siratal mustaqee, this is the path to Jannah. The prophe(saw) is telling the people that this is the straight path and the first command is Tauheed, and Prophet(saw) asks us to follow these path.

Once Prophet(saw) was sitting with the companions and drew a straight line and said that this is the straight path and he drew many other lines and said that these are the path that lead to deviation and shaitan calls for these paths. The point is that there is only ONE straight path but the path for deviation are many. Truth is ONE and Falsehood is Many. And this is why Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) calls for truth Allah calls it in singular form , example Qur'aan is called as light in the singular form Noor, but the falsehood, evil , is mentioned in the form of plural example Zulumat, ( many falsehood). The way of worship is ONE , but the Path of Evil are many. This is why Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) says this is my Path ( one ). but the path of falsehood are many, so when we need to know only the straight path and all the falsehood.

Ibn Mas'ud ( R.A) said:
Whoever wishes to ascertain the very will of Prophet Muhammad on which the prophet has put seal , let him read the Statement of Allah:
" Say ( O Muhammad  sallahu Alayhi wasalam): Come, I will recite what your lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him...(up to).. And verily, this is My Straight Path."

This Hadeeth is showing the importance of these verses.

It is narrated that Mu'ad bin jabad ( R.A) said:
I was riding behind the Prophet ( sallahu Alayhi wasalam) on a donkey and he said to me " O Mu'adh, do you know what is the right of Allah on his slaves and what is the right of the slaves upon Allah? I responded: " Allah and his Messenger know best" He continued, " The Right of Allah upon His slaves, is to worship him Alone and never to associate anything with Him. The right of slaves upon Him is not to punish any person who does not associate anythig withhim." I said." O Allah's Messenger, May I not give the glad tidings to the people?" he replied: " No. Do not inform them lest they rely on ( this promise and lapse intehir service to Him) ( Al-Bukhari, Muslim)

In this Hadeeth, ( very Authentic after Qur'aan as its reported both by Bukhari and Muslim).
When Prophet(s.a.w ) passed away , he was the leader of Arabia, he had the entire wealth of Arabia, despite, of this , out of his humbleness, he used to ride on a Donkey, not only that, this donkey is shared by 2 people. He never had arrogance in his life and an example of how we should live our lives. Prophet(sallahu Alayhi wasalam) asked Muadh  "do yu know what is the right of Allah on his slaves? and Muadh replied Allah and his messenger knows best , this is how we are supposed to answer if we dont know something. The right of Allah on his slave is that we worship him. Out of Allah's mercy Allah is giving us a right on him , out of his immense mercy , blessing, we dont have any right , we are his creation but out of His mercy Allah says that that if we fulfil the right of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) ALlah promises us that Allah will not punish us if we fulfil tauheed. Muadh says should I not inform about this Hadeeth, and Prophet Sallahu Alayhi wasalam said no as people will take this mercy of Allah and misuse it. So if we go to a person who does not pray and is commiting sin and tell him about this hadeeth then shaitan will pursuade him to think that since he is not commiting any shirk he will be forgiven by Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).

That is why , we are not supposed to tell those people who dont worship unless they understand the rights of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) and then tell them , this is not hiding knowledge, this is wisdom. Muadh did not hide this Hadeeth, but he told it to people who will understand it. WE should OBEY ALLAH EVERY COMMAND and AVOID EVERY PROHIBITION.

We learnt in this Chapter:
Purpose of creation, is to worship Allah ( Subhana wa ta'ala )
All Prophets were sent with one message, that is to worhip Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
La ilaha il Allah , affirmation and negation , meaning of Taghut.
Allah (subhana wa ta'la) summarises islam in verses
For the Summary of this chapter please refer to Kitab at-Tauheed.

Note: when we say La ilaha il Allah , it automatically implies Muhammad ur Rasoolulah. Who else brought, us the Sunnah? How do we know what to do and how to worship? when ALlah say " and establish prayers" we know only through the sunnah of Prophet sallahu Alayhi waslaam  how we should pray , how many times we should pray , etc etc. so  saying La ilaha il Allah will automatically imply Muhammad ur Rasoolullah.

Chapter No: 2 The superiority of Tawheed and what it removes of sins

One prespective: That is if one is able to perfect his Tauheed, how it will help him remove his sins

Allah the Most Exalted Said:
" It is those who believe ( in the oneness of Allah and worship none but him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm ( wrong i.e. by worshipping other besides Allah) for them ( only) there is security and they are guided ones." ( 6:82)

One who belives they do not cover their belief with Zulm.
What is the Meaning of ZULM?
Linguistically it means that to place something other than its original place. In other words you misplace something. Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) says those who believe and do not mix their belief with something is secure. When this verse was revealed, the sahabas found this to be unbearable as what they understood of Zulm , they considered as every single wrong doing and they came to Prophet(S.A.W) and asked which one of us do not do Zulm? and Prophet ( saw) said that its not the Zulm that you understand. The Dhulm ( Zulm) in this verse is Shirk. In another verse , " Shirk is the greatest Zulm".

Why is Shirk the greatest Zulm?
which greater object you can take and misplace than the worship of Allah there is not greater sin than to worship anything besides Allah.

Allah says those who belive and do not mix their belief with any type of shirk they will have security and peace.
What is the Security and peace?
The greatest type of peace and security  is to enter Jannah without tasting any form of hell. May Allah ( swt) make us one of those people Ameen.( HIGHEST FORM OF SECURITY).

What is the least type of security and peace?
That is a MUSLIM, is in the hell for a period of time, for his deeds and then is put back in Jannah after he has payed for his deeds. The least form is that he will not go to Hell for eternity and eventually will enter Jannah. ( LOWEST FORM OF SECURITY)

If your belief has reached a hight of level of emman, then Allah is talking about the highest form of security, and if your belief is just la ilahah il Allah Muhhamadur Rasoolullah and you are induleged in the disobedience towards Allah then Allah talks about the least form of Security.
IN OTHER WORDS, AS YOUR EMAN INCREASES YOUR SECURITY INCREASES AND VICE VERSA.
The benefit of this Verse is that, Shirk is refered as Dhulm ( Zulm ), The point of this verse is that once you have perfected your tauheed , you have saved yourselves from the fire totally.

Narrated Ubadah bin As-Samit ( R.A) that Allah's Messenger ( saw) said:
"Whoever testifies that there is nothing worthy of worship in truth ( no GOD) except Allah Alone, Who is without ( peer or) partner , and that Muhmmad  is His slave and Messenger, and 'Iesa( Jesus) is the slave of Allah, His Messenger, and His word which He bestowed in Maryam( Mary) and a spirit ( created) from Him , andthat Paradise & Hell-fire are realities, Alah will admit him into Paradise, whatever hisdeds might be." ( Sahih Al- Bukhari, Hadeeth No. 3253)\

This Hadeeth, shows that any one who testifies that No one is worthy of Worhip but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger ( 'Abd when ever is mentioned should be understood that it means a perfect worshiper of Allah) Allah says 'Abd to Muhammad( saw) , to praise Prophet (saw) a perfect Worshiper.
The first phrase 'Abd shatters the idea that he is made of light or , as some people raise him to the level of God, or diety. If Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) says Prophet Muhammad( sallahu Alayhi wasalam ) as Abdullah , that is The Perfect Slave of Allah then how can he be Allah and on the other had similarly it shatters the other extreme ideology that he was a sorcerer or a lier as some kuffar say. As he is the Rusool of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).
Neither he ( sallahu Alayhi waslaam ) is above his status or below his ( sallahi Alayhi wasalaam) status.
Then Prophet Muhammad( saw) testifies that 'Iesa is the Abd of Allah and thus he cannot have the characteristic of Allah , The second part says that 'Iesa is the Rasool of Allah which refutes the claim of Jews who say that Jesus is not the Messenger of Allah.
And that Word was the cause of 'Iesa and the word is not 'Iesa ..( kum ). Allah said Kum and there he was, the christians say that Iesa is the word of Allah which is Untrue.

The spirit here is Angel Gebriel. As in Surah Maryam , Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) sent Angel Gebriel to give glad tidings to Maryam.

And that the Jannah and Jahannam are true.
What is Aqeedah?
Aqeedah is what you believe.
In these Hadeeth Prophet(sallahu Alayhi wasalam ) talks about Pure Aqeedah, not the actions but just pure Aqeedah. What is it? He truely belives in Jannah , in Jahanam, in Prophet(sallahu Alayhi waslaam ) and Iesa being the Rasool of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) and truly worships only Allah. And a person who has this pure Aqeedah , then that will lead him to do the actions.
Aqeedah is a feeling, a cautious that we have, and when a person has this true Aqeedah then it will lead him to do actions for the sake of Allah(subhana wa ta'ala).

He who perfects Tauheed, will enter jannah no matter whatever his actions he has:
Two interpretation of the Hadeeth:
First one: He who prefected this Aqeedah, even if his actions are little as long as he did not commit the major sins Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) will  make him enter jannah.
Second one: He who was not able to perfect it, Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) will eventually make him enter Jannah based on his actions.

'Itban ( R.A) narrated that the Prophet(sallahu Alayhi wasalam) said:
" Indeed Allah has forbidden for Hell the person who testifies: ' There is nothing worthy of worship in truth ( no true God) but Allah', seeking thereby nothing but Allah's face ( pleasure) " ( Al Bukhari,Muslim)

This hadeeth again goes back to the tittle of the chapter, what are the benefits of Tauheed?.
Hell has been forbidden those people who says la ilaha il Allah , for the sincere desire of pleasing Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).

Abu Sa'id Al-khudri ( R.A) narrated that Allah's Messenger ( sallahu Alayhi wasalam ) said:
" Musa ( Alaysalam ) said: ' O my Rabb, teach me something through which I can remmeber You and supplicate to You." Allah answered: ' Say , O Musa, La ilaha illa-Allah', Musa(A.s)
said: 'O my Rabb, all your slaves say these words'. Allah said:' O Musa, if the seven heavens and all they contain other than ME( Ghairy) ( This phrase Ghairy is the exceptoin from what is in the heavens. It should not be misunderstood that Allah is contained within the heavens or earth since He has described Himself in the Qur'aan as the Transcendent, Most High, Above All, i.e. in 2:255, 20:5, 25:59 and many places else where in His Book. Indeed the stateent is another proof that Allah cannot be considered within the creation) and the seven earths as well, were all put in one side of a scale and La ilaha illa-Allah put in the other the latter would overweigh them.' " ( This Hadeeth has been reported by Ibn Hibban, and Al-Hakim declared it Sahih)

Musa ( alaysalam) wanted to ask Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) something special, and Allah (swt) ask him to say la ilaha illa-Allah. Musa( alayhi salam ) even though he knew the importance of La ilaha illa-Allah had to be reminded of the weight of La ilaha illa-Allah. Which is greater than the whole of the creation. This is why Tauheed is able to remove the sins.
This also shows that La ilaha illa Allah is the best way to remember Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) , it is also the best Dua ,
This the Dua of Ibadah. There are two types of Dua, Dua Al mas'ala( Asking form Allah) and Dua Al ibadah ( example Salah and any act of worship). A true believer uses both the Dua's.

At -Timirdhi reports from Anas (R.A): He heard Allah's Messenger sallahu Alayhi wasalam saying:
“ Allah the Most Exalted said:'O Son of Adam , were you to come to Me with the world full of sins, and meet Me without making anything partner to ME ( shirk), I would come to you with a similar amount of forgiveness.”
Once again expanding on the same Theme about the importance of tauheed.
This is a hadeeth Qudsi ( a hadeeth where Prophet (sallahi Alayhi wasalam ) says Allah says )
The condition is that A person if he comes with earth full of  sins , and did not associate partners with Allah(subhana wata'ala) . then Allah will come with the same amount of forgiveness.

Its clear from these hadeeth, that Tauheed will remove all types of Sins except that of Shirk.
Again there are two main levels, high and low. High level is one where a person worships Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) with perfection , then he will enter Jannah with out ever going to hell.
Lower level is when a person realises the Tauheed, La ilaha illa-Allah but does not perfect it, commits sins, then he will eventually be placed into Jannah after he has been punished for his deeds.

The more we perfect our Tauheed the more our levels will raise and vice versa.

 Chapter No. 3
Who purifies Tauheed (from Shirk etc.) will enter Paradise without giving an Account.

When a person enters paradise with out any account. On the day of judgment, every single human being, the munafiq, the kafir, the Muslim will go through, reckoning, and Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) will go through every single deed, and ask him/her, and the true believer after this will be forgiven and will be made to enter Jannah. And obviously the kafir or the disbeliever will enter Hell.

There will be few people very few, from the time of Adam (Aalaysalam) till the day of Judgment who will enter Jannah without asking for any account because of their statues. These people are those who have perfected your Tauheed.

Allah the Most Exalted said:
“ verily Abraham ( Alayhi salam ) was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, unswervingly true in faith and he was not of those who ascribed partners to Allah.” ( 16:120)

Ibrahim (Alaysalam) is one of those top 5 Prophets. Noah, Ibrahim, Musa Iesa and Muhammad (sallahu Alayhi waslaam). He (Alaysalam) was referred as Khalil-ullah (the Close friend of Allah).

Only two people out of all creation were given this status, Ibrahim (Alayhisalam) and Prophet Muhammad (sallahu Alayhi wasalam).
Khalil: A person who can trust absolutely, a person you can trust your secrets with. Allah does not need a khalil but this status is given to these two prophets in order to elevate them.

Ibrahim (Alayhisalam) is described as Ummah (model here). Ummah has many meanings and one of them is Model. Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has elevated the worship of Ibrahim so deeply and adjectively given the word Ummah. In other words saying that Ibrahim (Alaysalam)'s worship was like of the whole Ummah in and of itself. Ibrahim was of those who perfected his Tauheed.

And He further said:
“ And those who ascribe not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord.” (23:59)
In these verses Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) describes the believers. In this description of believers, these people are of those do not worship anyone else but Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).

Husain bin Abdur-Rahman Narrated:
Once when I was with Sa'id bin Jubair, he asked, “Who among you did see the shooting start last night?” I answered, “ I had seen it,” and then explained that I was not at the prayer at the time because I had been stung by a poisonous scorpion. He said, “ What did you then do?” I replied, “ I used Ruqyah to cure it!” He said, “ What compelled you to do that?”, I said, “A Hadith I heard from Ash-Sha'bi.” He asked, which Hadith Sha'bi narrated?” I replied, “ he reported from Buraidah bin Al-Husaid, who said that Ruqyah is not allowed except for the treatment of `evil eye' (`Ain) and (poisonous) sting”. He (Sa'id bin Jubair) said, “ He has done well by stopping on what he has heard (i.e. to act according to the knowledge as opposed to ignorance). However Ibn Abbas narrated us that the Prophet (sallahu Alayhi wasalam) said, `All the nations were made to pass before me, and I saw a Prophet with two or three people and a Prophet with none. Then there appeared a large group of people which I took to be my nation (Ummah). But I was told that those were of Musa and his people. Later, a larger group appeared and I was told that those were my people. Among them were seventy thousand who would enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment.' The Prophet (sallahu Alayhi wasalam) then got up and went to his house, and the people went into discussion as to who they might be. Some said, 'Perhaps they are the Companions of the Messenger of Allah.' Others said, `May be they belong to those who were born in Islam and therefore had never ascribed anyone partner with Allah.' And while they were exchanging their views like this, the Prophet sallahu Alayhi wasalam came out and was informed about the news. He said, `Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqyah, nor do they believe in bad or good Omen (from birds etc), nor do they get themselves branded (cauterized) but they put their trust (only) in their Lord.' On that `Ukashah bin Mihsan got up and said (to Prophet sallalahu Alayhi wasalam),  ` Invoke Allah to make me one of them.' He (sallahu Alayhi wasalam) said, ` You are one of them.' Then another man got up and said, ` Invoke Allah to make me one of them.' He (sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) said, ` Ukashah has preceded you.'”

Sa'id Ibn Jubair was one of the most knowledgeable of the Tabaieen, Student of Ibn Abbas.
When Sa'id Ibn Jubair asked about the shooting start, Hussein bin Abdur Rahmaan, immediately said that he did. Out of the humility he (Hussein bin Abdur rahmaan ) followed that he was not in prayer at that time. He (Hussein bin Abdur rahmaan) said that a scorpion bit him and thus out of pain he was not able to sleep. This was the characteristic of Salaf. This shows the humbleness of the salaf, to remove any sign of show off.

Ruqya: Reciting Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) words on the part that is affected by piousness sting and to remove evil eye.

Who are those 70,000 people? : Those who put their complete trust on Allah (subhana wa ta'ala), those who have perfected their Tauheed.

 Chapter No.4
Fear of Shirk ( Polytheism)

Emphasis of Tauheed: By danger of shirk.
We cannot truly understand what White is unless we look at black, similarly we cannot understand truly  Sunnah without knowing what Bid'ah. So to truly understand Tauheed, we need understand the dangers of shirk.

Allah the Almighty said:
“ Verily , Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him in worship, but He forgives except that ( anything else) to whom He pleases.” ( 4:48,116)

Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) will never forgive shirk. This is the most explicit verse regarding the danger of Shirk. Anything else Allah(subhana wa ta'ala) will forgive if he pleases.
This also shows that every other sin is less than SHIRK.

Prophet Ibrahim Alayhi salam said:
“ And keep me and my sons away form Worshiping idols: (14:35)

Ibrahim Alayhisalam is praying to Allah to save him and his progeny from shirk.
Ibrahim ( A.S) despite the fact of who he was he was scared of falling into shirk then how can anyone else not be afraid of falling into shirk.
Who can feel secure if Ibrahim did not feel secure of Shirk?

Shirk: Major Shirk., Minor Shirk.
Major Shirk: Allah will never forgive and if one dies in this state he will go to Hell for all eternity and all of his good deeds are going to be in vain.
Minor shirk: Allah will forgive him if Allah wills and all of his good deeds will not go in vain, some of   his deeds will be accepted (Allah willing).

It is narrated in the Hadith that Allah's messenger sallahu Alayhi waslaam said:
“ What I fear most for you is Minor shirk.” When asked about it, he said, “ Ar-Riya (showing off).”

There is no fitnah, trial, disease tribulation that is the most that prophet (saw) fears for his Ummah is Minor Shirk. If Minor shirk was so feared by Prophet (saw) for his Ummah then the fear for Major shirk and its dangers are very great.

Riya: Does a religious deed in order to show off.
Only when a person has perfected his Tauheed will he be removed from Minor shirk.

Ibn Mas'ud (radhi ala anhu) narrated that Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) said:
“ Whoever dies while ascribing partners to Allah, enters the Hell-fire” (Al-Bukhari)

One more consequence of Shirk:

**Sin of Shirk in and of itself is unforgivable (only).
**Who ever commits shirk and dies in that state all of his good deeds will be in vain.
No matter how much good one does but if he dies a Christians, Hindu, an atheist or anything other than a Muslim (without doing shirk).
**Who ever committed shirk; Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) has made Jannah Haram for him.
** Who ever commits shirk will eternally be dammed to Hell.

Muslim reports from Jabir (R.A) that Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said:
“ Whoever meets Allah (on the day of judgement) not having associated anyone with Him (in worship), shall enter Paradise; and whoever meets him having committed Shirk in any way will enter the Hell-fire.”

Same concept, same theme, in this Hadeeth.

In this hadeeth once again the Prophet (saw) summarizes the concept for us that, Who ever dies in tauheed will enter Jannah , and who ever dies in the state of associating partners to Allah he will enter Jahannam ( Hell).

We cannot have Tauheed and shirk at the same time. A person to follow tauheed, he must reject shirk. Tauheed means One hundred percent worship Allah (subhana wa ta'ala).
Even if a person if he believes in Allah, Worships Allah, prays 5 times a day, goes to Hajj but believes that he can call on some one else for help, he has done shirk. Not necessary calling on any other: “idol” but even calling on saints, “wali” it's the essence of shirk.

When we say, that the good deeds of mushrik will be vain, we mean that on the Day of Judgment all his good deeds will be in vain. Out of the mercy of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) those people will be given some status, recognition in this Duniya but on the day of judgement, all their good deeds will go in vain as they died in the state of disbelief.
** Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) rewards their (mushrik, disbelievers) good deeds in this Duniya.

 Chapter No: 5
The Call to testify that there is nothing deserving of Worship in truth except Allah

This chapter seeks to prove that when a person starts to call others to Islam he should start by saying La ilaha illa-Allah.

The very fact the Prophet sallalahu Alayhi wasalam asked to call others to islam by saying La ilaha illa-Allah shows the importance of tawheed, you do not start of with political system in Islam, the status of women in islam No , but you start off from Tawheed. This is yet from another perspective.

Allah the Exalted said:

“ say you ( O Muhammad Sallalahu Alayhi wasalam): `This is my way; I invite unto Allah ( i.e to the Oneness of Allah- Islamic Monotheism) ( with sure knowledge), I and whosoever follows me ( also must invite others to Allah i.e. to the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) with sure knowledge. And Glorified and Exalted is Allah ( above all that they associate as partners with Him), and I am not of the polytheists.'” (12:108)

Here Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) is directing to the Prophet(s.a.w) about describing his path.

Whenever we see “Qul” we have to pay more attention.

How do we call for Islam?
Upon very clear knowledge (`ala Baseera). Baseera, same root word as to see.
So if one calls to Allah, he should call by very clear & certain knowledge. The conditions are, that firstly the Neeyah (intention) should to call to Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) and secondly one should call to Allah upon clear knowledge (Qur'aan and Sunnah).

Who does this calling? The Prophet ( sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) said , “ I and those who follow me”.

Alhumdulilah: implies that We are praising Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) due to the fact that Allah(swt) posses attributes worthy of praise, due to the perfection.
SubhanaAllah : Implies that we are negating everything that has evil connotation, example when we say SubhanaAllah , we mean that Allah is exalted and above what they claim.

When the chirstians say Allah (subhana wata'la) has a son (naudhubillah), we say SubhanaAllah , Allah is above this claim and imperfection, Allah is exalted.

This verse that shows to you, that in order for any action to be accepted from Allah (subhna wa ta'ala) it should fulfill two criteria
1: Ikhlas: sincerity
2: Accordance to the Qur'aan and Sunnah.

Ibn Abbas Radhi Ala anhu narrated:

When Allah's Messenger ( sallahu Alayhi wasalam)sent Mu'adh ( radhi ala anhu) to Yemen, he said, “ You will come upon the People of the Book, let your first act be to call them to testify that- There is nothing worthy of worship in truth but Allah.”

And in another version of this tradition( it is said): To single out Allah Alone in the worship, i.e. actualize the Oneness( tauhid) of Allah- if they obey you in this, inform them that Allah has prescribed for them to offer 5 prayers ( salat ) every day and night. If they obey you in this, then inform them that Allah has imposed upon them the duty of Sadaqah( zakat) to be levied from their rich and distributed to the poor. If they obey you in this, then be careful not to take the best of their properties( as payment of Zakat), and safeguard yourself against the supplication of those who have suffered injustice because there is no veil between his supplication and Allah.” ( Al-bukhari, hadith no, 1389/1425 and Muslim)

Mua'adh ibn Jabil: Leader of the Scholars , on the Day of Judgement when the Scholars will be resurrected, Mu'adh( R.A) will be one step ahead of them ( may Allah(subhana wata `ala) be pleased with all of them).

Both Collectors have also reported that Sahl bin sa'd ( radi ala anhu) said:
On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Messenger ( sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) asserted, “ Tomorrow I shall indeed give the flag to a person who loves Allah and His Messenger and is loved by Allah and His Messenger. Allah will grant victory under his leadership.” The people spent the night absorbed in discussing as to whom might the flag be given! In the morning they came eagerly to Allah's Messenger (sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) each of them hoping to be given the flag. Allah's Messenger ( sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) asked, “ where is Ali bin Abi Talib?” They replied, “ He is suffering from an eye ailment,” He was sent for and brought. Allah's Messenger ( sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) then spat in his eyes and prayed for him, where upon he was cured as if he had no previous pains. Allah's Messenger ( sallalahu Alayhi wasalam) then gave him the flag and said, “ Advance with ease and gentleness until you arrive in their midst, then call them to Islam and inform them of their duties to Allah in Islam. By Allah, if He may guide though you a single man to Islam then it is better for you than the red camels.”

*****InshaAllah I will write the notes soon, Please bear with me , jazakAllah hu khairan.
